The official release Germany's statistical office, Destatis, reported on 14 October that overall wholesale selling prices in September 2026 were 8.7% higher than a year earlier and 1.9% above August.

The combined wholesale category covering grain, unmanufactured tobacco, seeds and animal feeds rose 19.3% year on year and 6.5% month on month. This is a grouped statistic, not a standalone wheat, maize or feed quotation.

Avoid a misleading headline Other categories moved differently. The combined milk, dairy, eggs, edible oils and fats category was 9.7% below its year-earlier level.

What buyers can use AgroHub editorial guidance: use these figures as background for discussions with German suppliers, then obtain a product-specific quotation. Record its grade, unit, tax treatment, delivery point and validity. Do not apply a grouped percentage mechanically to an African export price.
